The first Capacity Building Sessions open Lead3.0 to its first facilitatorsThe first Capacity Building Sessions open Lead3.0 to its first facilitators

On November 4th 2016 Germany and Italy held the kick off for their Capacity Building Sessions (CBS). This is an extremely important phase for the project: during the CBS Lead partners are going to share their experience with 100 new facilitators that will be trained to create new contents based on OERs supporting e-leadership skills.

In the next weeks we’ll hear directly from our participants how things are going, but for now let’s say that coming so far has been such a rewarding challenge for all of us. The soon-to-be facilitators participated with enthusiasm and curiosity, eager to discover something new and to take back new tools to their organizations. Some came from big companies HR, some work in organizational education, other are e-learning specialists and some are free-lance professionals – the one thing they all have in common is the need of discover something new to help them delivering even more efficiently.

We worked essentially on the impact of digitalization on education, exploring then the Lead3.0 ecosystem (the website, the Academy, the facilitators Community, the social channels) and launching the next activities: a second class based moment for Germany, and a cycle of webinars for Italy. We will be working together with the participant until December, so more news to come!

Lead3.0 Academy went to Liverpool @ EAIE 2016, Europe’s largest higher education conference
Lead3.0 Academy went to Liverpool @ EAIE 2016, Europe's largest higher education conferenceLead3.0 Academy went to Liverpool @ EAIE 2016, Europe's largest higher education conference

The European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference, celebrated in Liverpool, is considered to be the largest higher education conference with more than 3,000 participants around the world – and this year Lead3.0 was there!

Within the framework of this year’s conference theme ‘Imagine…’ as international educators, have a dream of a higher education that transcends national borders, nurtures global citizens and moves us closer to freedom, equality and peace around the world; Dr. Christophe Terrasse and Jean-Baptiste Maillard from the EFMD, Peter Mcluskie from Coventry University and Sue Rossano-Rivero from Münster University of Applied Sciences presented the results from their current research entitled: “Soft e-leadership skills, hard learning in Europe”.

The session exposed the results of the pan-European survey conducted by Lead3.0’s partnership among teachers, trainers, students and managers to evaluate their needs in terms of soft e-leadership skills and the capacities of the higher education institutions to meet this demand.

The participants in the audience prised the student-centred approach taken to build an e-learning offer that proposes operational recommendations to higher education institutions and trainers on how to teach these e-leadership skills taking full advantage of innovative delivery channels and building communities of practice among trainers, students and managers.
